City of Newark to Deliver 1,000 Pantries for Low-Income Families

The City of Newark reported that this June 28 it will deliver 1,000 pantries for low-income families.

The delivery will take place starting at 11:00 in the morning at the intersection of New York Avenue and Garrison Street.

Each box of food will include fruits, vegetables and chicken.

Those interested can go by vehicle and enter through New York Avenue at the height of Napoleon Street.

They can also go on foot.

Access for those who arrive on foot will also be along New York Avenue at the height of Garrison Street.

Deliveries will be given to those who arrive until exhausted.

Farmers Market to open in July

The City of Newark will also hold an event where local producers will bring their products to offer directly to customers.

The Farmers Market will take place on July 8 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at El Patio de la Casa located at 39 Broadway Street.
