City of New York releases 300 prisoners in Corona crisis – abroad

This is a measure to inhibit the further spread of the corona virus in prisons, said Mayor Bill de Blasio on Tuesday. According to De Blasio, the US east coast metropolis, with around 15,000 infected people, has a third of all corona cases in the US.

New York is by far the hardest hit by the crisis. More than 100 people have already died there. All non-vital companies are only allowed to let their employees work from home – and the residents of the state should stay at home as much as possible. Restaurants, bars, schools, museums and Broadway shows are closed.
