On March 7th, the voters of the city of Bern will vote on whether they should pay a contribution of 15 million francs to the construction of the new festival hall. The construction will cost a total of 95 million francs. The building, which will replace the old festival hall, should be completed in 2024. In addition to trade fairs, large congresses and concerts with up to 9,000 people, sporting events will also take place in the hall. As a survey of five large associations shows, they have a certain interest in using the hall. But there is still a long way to go before a contract is reached.
