The finance secretary of Cristinapolis, in Sergipe, Crislane Santos Teles, and her husband, Abel Maciel dos Reis, died in a traffic accident on BR 101, on the border between the states of Bahia and Sergipe.
The couple was driving a white car when it crashed into a pickup truck in the Rio Real region. Crislane and Abel died at the scene of the accident. The occupants of the truck suffered injuries and were rescued. Their health status was not disclosed.
Cristinápolis city hall declared three days of official mourning in memory of the finance secretary and her husband. The city hall of Rio Real, where Abel was a public servant in the Administrative sector, also declared a three-day mourning period.
