City-building game review: Why the 2-hour refund window on Steam isn’t enough to uncover gameplay issues

Why didn’t you wait to purchase the game or ask for a refund within 2 hours (assuming you bought the game on Steam)?

In this one the 2 hours is laughably short. In 2 hours you will not encounter the real problems in this game. I have already put in quite a few hours and am now in a city of almost half a million inhabitants. I’m happy if I’m above 30fps with a 5800x3d and a 3090.

In addition, these types of figures are where the real gameplay problems begin, such as the demand for elementary schools suddenly increasing exponentially. I cannot build more schools fast enough to meet the demand. For a city of half a million, 600 elementary schools is not enough. That’s 900,000 children. If you then look at the graph of your population, there are not even that many residents under the age of 18, let alone elementary schools. In other words, there is a bug here, but it does take away from the entire immersion. You are no longer building a city, but looking for a place where you can click on more elementary schools. Entire neighborhoods full of only schools.

If you then indicate this to Paradox, the response is: start an earlier save and try again. Thanks.

But you won’t encounter all those kinds of problems within 2 hours, in which you have just built 3 streets.
