City affairs on the DunakesziApp – Dunakanyar Region

In 2018, the Dunakeszi City Municipality developed the DunakesziApp application to provide the population with a direct and short route to notifications and information. In 5 years, the number of users of the application increased to more than 21,000, which means almost more than half of the people of Dunkesi. Through this, you can easily and quickly access, among other things, the latest news, the bus schedule and the increasingly popular Dunakeszi Card.

Resident notification, bug report

In addition to these, the most important goal of the application is that the population can easily and quickly contact the municipality, bypassing the labyrinths of bureaucracy. A notification system through which the task awaiting resolution is sent directly to the person in charge. For example, the municipality can be informed about illegal dumping, faulty public lighting, blocked storm drains, fallen poles, torn street name signs, storm damage… in short, anything that affects public space. For accurate information, GPS coordinates and a photo can be attached to the report.

Today, it is customary to immediately post on Facebook if we notice anything that may affect others, with good intentions. However, this slows down and makes problem solving difficult.

If the notification is not received through the well-established customer service system, but through another channel, sometimes the same topic is even on several forums, it results in interruption and workload. In addition to slowing down, the traceability of the solution and ensuring the quality of the work performed are also at risk

– explained Anikó Keller, Head of the Office of Resident Services and the Mayor’s Office. Anikó Keller added that she also asks everyone to make the report through the DunakesziApp by specifying the exact case to be resolved, because it can cause interruptions in the rescue and troubleshooting queue if the task is not well defined.

The application received 170 notifications in July and 285 in August, which is 90% of all contacts with the municipality. The application can be downloaded to smartphones and tablets, so we can take care of our city and our community from the comfort of our own home.
