The president of the Citrus Committee, Juan Enrique Ortúzar, pressured that this year the drought has deeply affected the Coquimbo location, which was reflected in the sharp decrease in clementine exports. “The main dilemma was drought, particularly in the Coquimbo location, in which the orchards have been severely affected. This year, even so, with the rains and the accumulation of snow, it presents a partial reduction for the next period ”.
As for the marketplaces, of the complete exported, 98.6% went to the United states of america, of which 73% went to the East Coastline (29,928 t), and the remaining 27% to the West Coast (11,330 t). The remaining shipments have been destined for Latin America (508 t), Canada (65 t), Europe (.2 t) and Japan (.1 t)
