“Citroen C3 Wins World Urban Car Award at 2023 World Car Awards”

Citroen C3 won the world’s best urban car award or world urban car at the 2023 World Car Awards in New York, United States. The vehicle has been launched and marketed in Indonesia.

The 2023 World Car Awards itself involved 100 international journalists from 32 countries around the world. That is why, the formulation of the winner is carried out in a long, mature and also measurable way.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Citroen, Thierry Koskas, said he was proud of the award received by Citroen C3. According to him, these vehicles are in great demand by urban consumers in Asia and South America.

“We are very honored to receive the World Urban Car 2023 award for Citroen C3. This car recognizes the relevance of our growth strategy in India, Asia and South America,” said Koskas through an official statement received by detikOto, Friday (7/4).

It is known, Citroen C3 has sold 7,000 units in India since it was first launched last year. Meanwhile in South America, this compact dimension vehicle successfully sold 14,000 units in the same period.

The note made Citroen C3 sales increase 57 percent in Asia and 21.2 percent in South America. This fact proves that Citroen C3 does not only depend on sales in Europe.

This is actually not the first time Citroen C3 has received a global award. Previously, the vehicle won 12 awards in India and several awards in Brazil.

In Indonesia, the Citroen C3 has just been launched in December 2022 through the Indomobil Group umbrella. The vehicle is priced at IDR 225 million with status on the road Jakarta.

Citroen C3 is also fairly in demand in Indonesia. These vehicles account for 90 percent of the manufacturer’s total sales in the country.
