Citizens said they could no longer do so. And they said it as they can – Elections 2021

And don’t forget – Bulgarians abroad are what they can be. As Bulgaria has allowed them to be

The comment is from Polina Paunova’s Facebook profile.

Tuesday, April 6. The election was two days ago, what do we know:

We know that the hegemony of GERB is over. It had started to end in 2013, but with the rise of Delyan Peevski, the BSP and MRF did Borissov the greatest political service. Then it seems that GERB works well with Peevski. Visible, invisible, denying, etc. Now that is reflected.

We know that the BSP is a third political force. For the first time in 20 years.

We know that the burden of the MRF … no longer weighs so much.

We know that a pro-European party enters the parliament, claiming to set the agenda, which claims that its main occupation will be to return to the country the rule of law (not the law; the difference between the two is clear) – “Democratic Bulgaria”. And we know that Sofia votes differently from the rest of Bulgaria.

We know that because of the niche that is being vacated on the left, a left protest formation has appeared – that of Maya Manolova. Whether he will take advantage of the gaps – we do not know.

We know that with a flying start there is a new political player. His name is Slavi Trifonov. And like it or not, it’s a fact. The last one with a flying start was called Boyko Borisov. Now he appears under the snow, near the jeep and tells us that he is the most experienced and still has to drive. What it’s called: what we thought of her, what happened.

There is neither Valeri Simeonov, nor Krassimir Karakachanov, nor Volen Siderov in the parliament. However, let this not deceive you that there is no nationalist vote at all – see “Vazrazhdane”, IMRO, as separate results.

But my thought is different: the protest vote is fragmented, into three. Some were chalgars, others were cleverly beautiful from the center of Sofia, and still others were masked communists. I don’t know who he is. All I know is that on Sunday the Bulgarian citizens said that they could not do that anymore, and they did not want to. How they said it is important! – you will say. I … they said it as best they could.

If they can say it, humming “One Ferrari” (or whatever Slavi Trifonov sings there) – so much they can. But the Bulgarians abroad were chalgars, there was no brain drain – these are all witty remarks about voting abroad. I have obviously missed the moment when Bulgarians in Bulgaria listen to Tchaikovsky at least, and Bulgaria Hall is cracking at the seams.

As for the findings of people close to GERB that the chalga mentality began to break through in these elections … they may have forgotten the prime minister’s favorite song in his early days. At least the media reported that it was “The battalion is being built for the last time.” The song is stylish, there are no two opinions. High art. They forgot that GERB’s blade on “culture” in his last term was accompanied by Ferrari rhythms as part of the “Ku-Ku Band”. I am talking about Kalin Velov. They also missed Lyuben Dilov, who went from a colleague of Trifonov to a GERB spokesman, advising journalists to drink tea.

But a little more about the vote abroad and the laughter about the brain drain: abroad, roughly 50,000 people voted for Slavi Trifonov. In Bulgaria – over 500,000. And don’t forget – Bulgarians abroad are what they can be. As Bulgaria has allowed them to be. With her education, culture. But they were “staff”, but they were strawberry pickers, but they cleaned people’s houses. Probably some, like the former speaker of the parliament, think that Beijing is in Vietnam. And others may not even know where it is. We have that.

If Slavi Trifonov owes answers, then they are not for the chalga. They are about what it will do. Because the vote for Slavi Trifonov is a protest against what is happening in our country. And because “Multigroup” is (was) part of what is happening in our country and largely explains part of the hall of the country at the moment – it owes an answer to this past, in addition to the mandatory explanation of their future creative plans. We did not receive an answer for “Multigroup” from Vezhdi Rashidov.

What else does Mr. Trifonov have to answer:

– what, how and with whom he will do in the parliament;

– what are his views on possible reforms and in what areas;

– how will he manage the pandemic if the mandate reaches him (if GERB does not form a government)

– what is his attitude to all the players in this parliament, with whom on what topics he would cooperate and on which he would not, so as not to become a “trick” – with GERB, with BSP or MRF;

– last but not least, he owes an answer for his health (no, the topic is no longer personal and the subject of brown publications – the topic is of significant public interest because of the political functions of his personality).

So far, we do not receive these answers because we trust Kovid’s symptoms, which he wrote about on election night. They cannot be infinite. And the more he is silent or talking on his own TV without answering questions, the more that trick work starts to seem real. She is anxious, not chalga.

Chalga, unfortunately (or the joy of some), has been a part of our socio-political life for a long time. It is part of the battalion where it was built, and of the “PKP”, and of all the chalga pre-election concerts and maanets that we saw in other campaigns (in this one they were not so intrusive because of kovid).

Everything looks like itself. There is no way we can be one and choose others. In other words: there can be no great value in the head of our nation to buy an apartment, but to vote for the “Ruthe” model. We vote for people who find themselves in the center of Apartmentgate. Well, then they pay the political price. We haven’t grown up for a trial, for sure.

P.S. And because we only talked about parties: the search for alternatives is not only on the political scene. In this election, several media outlets tried to make live broadcasts streaming on social networks and our pages. And they were watched a lot. Why? Because there really is a need for an alternative to what is happening.
