Citizens of the United States and Denmark spoke in favor of direct military support for Ukraine – poll

38% of the residents surveyed Denmark support direct military support for Ukraine in a possible full-scale war against Russia, while 29% are against it.

This is stated in the data of a survey conducted by a British international company. YouGov.

It is noted that Denmark is the only European country surveyed that tends to directly support the Ukrainians, although the opinion on this matter is still “sluggish” there.

At the same time, 35% of US citizens are ready to support American troops to defend Ukraine against 28%. Both Republicans (43% vs. 28%) and Democrats (39% vs. 25%) support participation in hostilities in the event of a war in Eastern Europe.

While the British public was divided on this score: 30% – “for” and 32% – “against”.

Other Europeans tend to think that their military should not help defend Ukraine. Most opposed to this are the French (36% vs. 26%), Italians (40% vs. 21%) and Germans (52% versus 23%).

The survey included 1,695 British, 1,206 French, 2,065 Germans, 1,025 Danes, 1,006 Swedes, 1,053 Spaniards, 1,015 Italians and 1,000 Americans.

As UNIAN wrote, 59% of German citizens supported the government’s position regarding the refusal to supply lethal weapons to Ukraine.
