Declaration of membership on the homepage
There were several suggested names to choose from, including “VISTAB – Vlothoer Initiative STOPP an expansion of the railway in Vlotho away from the line” as the working title from the last information event. Further suggestions were: “Bahnsinn-Stopp”, “TAB-STOPP – Extension of the railway away from the route – Stop” and “N-ICE – No to ICE”. The founders of the association opted for “WiduLand” with a clear majority in the workshop and in front of their computers at home. The homepage with this name was activated on Thursday. Among other things, the statutes, contribution regulations and membership declaration are stored there.
Board of Directors and Advisory Board
The board posts were filled in further votes: 1st chairman Dirk Schitthelm, 2nd chairman Friedrich Pelshenke, 3rd chairwoman Anita Weckesser, treasurer Silke Linke, secretary Sven Brodowski, auditor Martin Sandmann and Norbert Seeger.
The elected board of directors is supported by a larger advisory board, around 30 people have made themselves available for the following work areas: administration, finances / analysis, media and design, legal framework, networking, traffic planning and technology, events and politics. In the Politics Working Group, for example, Rocco Wilken and Mario Hecker are mayors of Vlotho and Kalletal, as well as Member of the Bundestag Stefan Schwartze, Member of the Bundestag Christian Dahm and GLV parliamentary group leader and mayor August-Wilhelm König. The other working groups are less prominent.
Open to other active people
Christiane Wattenberg, who belonged to the organizational group of the founding meeting, appealed: “We are still open to other people who want to actively participate. Get in touch. We need many who support our work with their skills! ”There were no major discussions about the association statutes prepared by lawyer Jochen Zülka, which are submitted to the district court with the signatures of the founding members in order to achieve charity.
Before his election as chairman, Dirk Schitthelm pointed out that the ICE route would possibly run in his immediate vicinity: “Our landscape is good as it is. After years of construction it would look completely different here. ”In order to prevent an ICE route, it is important to organize yourself in a citizens’ initiative and win as many supporters as possible:“ Then you can’t ignore this initiative. ”
Events, especially online, should be prepared. The first general meeting is planned for spring 2021.
