Citi Zēni Presents Three Christmas Songs and Announces First Large-Format Concert

Christmas time is a time of giving, therefore the band “Citi Zēni” presents three short songs in appropriate Christmas moods. The first of them – “Tetim nav lemts” satirically thanks all dads, uncles, grandfathers and other relatives who sacrifice their chance to meet Santa Claus every year in order to “fix up the garage” or do other household chores.

Along with the song, the group “Citi Zēni” also announces its first large-format solo concert at the “Palladium” concert hall on March 9, 2024. The group’s soloist Jānis Pētersons says about the concert that it will be “the biggest, loudest and most important show of the group “Citi Zēni” so far”.

“Another Concert” will feature both the band’s biggest hits so far, as well as songs from the upcoming second studio album “Cits Līmenis” performed live for the first time.

It will be a musical and visual adventure, complemented by dancers, special light and video content, as well as performances by guest artists.

The group “Citi Zēni” represented Latvia at the 66th Eurovision Song Contest, won several “Zelta Mikrofons” Latvian music recording of the year awards, as well as won the Latvian pop and rock song survey “Muzikālā Banka” in 2022. The group’s song “Eat Your Salad” is the most played pop song in the history of Latvia on digital streaming platforms with more than 7.5 million listens. The group’s second studio album “Cits Līmenis” is expected on February 1, 2024.

The group “Citi Zēni” is a musical association of six people, whose music can be described as first shaking and then opening a can of fresh tonic. The band consists of Jānis Pētersons (vocals), Dagnis Roziņš (vocals, saxophone), Reinis Višķeris (keyboards), Krišjānis Ozols (guitar), Roberts Memmēns (bass) and Toms Kagainis (drums).
