In the report, made on May 27, the woman describes in detail how she had to undergo sexual acts against her will, which are considered rape under Dutch law. The details described by the woman in the police report are known to De Telegraaf, but are not mentioned by the newspaper “in order not to harm an objective investigation by the police”.

The singer was already in the news in April because of a detailed report of sexually transgressive behaviour, an accusation that was widely reported at the time in the so-called juice channels† Musical producer Stage-Entertainment already announced its own investigation at the time.

“Singer knows identity of woman”

Danny de Munk’s lawyer states that his client expressly disputes that he is guilty of criminal offences. “The client was not informed by the police and the judiciary about a report allegedly made against him about a criminal offense committed fifteen years ago,” said Royce de Vries. “He expressly denies that he was ever guilty of sexually transgressive behaviour, let alone criminal offences. The client is now aware of the identity of the complainant. This confirms to him that the accusation is unfounded. The Client can substantiate this and will also be happy to do so with the designated parties. The client is dismayed at these unjustified allegations and is considering taking further legal action.”

Lawyer Richard van der Weide, who represents the woman, says on behalf of his client “that she has no other interest in the report than to express a far-reaching criminal offense that happened to her at the time and of which she is still suffering the consequences. The client trusts in a good outcome of the investigation.”
