Magallanes is characterized by two great facets: its nomadic history and its strong identity. Hey! Escena Itinerante arrives this summer to satisfy this hunger for arts and movement in a single trip, carrying in its caravan an agenda full of contemporary dance, circus and theater with stories from the heart of Patagonia for all ages.
The tour will cover the entire region, starting in Porvenir, to continue in Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales, Villa Tehuelches and Puerto Edén. This initiative seeks to facilitate the decentralization of the performing arts by taking creators from the same localities throughout the territory.
The works selected for this version of Ei! Itinerant Scene is “La Señorita Julia” by the Company Teatro Experimental del Estrecho with a story about the secrets of the festival of San Juan in deep Patagonia. For early childhood comes “Primary”, where the Circus of the South will display colors and sensations. For its part, the Zur Vértice Collective will be in charge of contemporary dance with “Instant”, which will take the public on a journey through untamed places using virtual reality technology.
Hey! Itinerant Scene is an initiative of Regional Cultural Interest financed by the Regional Government of Magallanes and the Chilean Antarctic, whose budget framework was approved by the Regional Council, for an amount of $18,733,500.
The calendar of activities, with free admission, will be informed in detail in each location.
