The circulation of The Huelva-Seville railway line has been restored this morning after it was cut off run over a tractor trailer by a train that had invaded the road at a level crossing between San Juan del Puerto and Niebla.
The accident occurred around 5:50 p.m. this Friday, when a long-distance Intercity that was covering the route between Huelva and Seville with 125 passengers ran over a tractor trailer at a level crossing that gives access to an agricultural farm.
Fortunately, the tractor driver was unharmed, as were the 125 passengers on the train, although the driver was slightly injured by a blow to the head, and was taken to the Juan Ramón Jiménez hospital.
The accident convoy was towed by another train to the La Palma del Condado station, where passengers heading to Seville or Madrid could do so on another train and those heading to one of the municipalities on the route were transported in buses.
