Circulating Easy Videos of Aqua Gallons being faked, this is Danone’s response

KOMPAS.com – A video shows a man demonstrating how easy a gallon seal is drinking water the Aqua brand went viral on social media on Saturday (23/7/2022).

From this demonstration, certain people can easily exchange fake gallons for real gallons with Aqua seals.

“Beware of fake gallons circulating in the community. This is the modus operandi,” wrote the caption in the video uploaded by the Instagram account this.

As of Sunday (24/7/2022), the 13-second video has been liked 31,508 times by other Instagram users.

Then, how is Aqua’s response and how do I report it if there is one fake Aqua gallon?

Danone’s explanation

Communications Director Danone Indonesia Arif Mujahidin said that his party deeply regretted the incident of an individual who faked a gallon of Aqua.

He added that regarding the existence of these individuals, his party cooperated with the police to take firm action against the perpetrators of counterfeiting Aqua gallons.

“Because it has entered the realm of the police, we will cooperate and continue to coordinate with the police to ensure that whoever is guilty must bear the legal consequences according to the applicable laws,” Arif said when contacted. Kompas.comSunday (24/7/2022).

According to him, the alleged counterfeiting of Aqua gallons was located in Cilegon, West Java.
