JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The condition of the flow of vehicles in Cipularang Toll RoadPurwakarta, reported total traffic jams along 5 kilometers since Friday (29/4/2022) early in the morning.
According to reports from journalists TV Compass Hendri Setiawan, traffic flow on the Cipularang Toll Road from Bandung to Jakarta was completely paralyzed.
“The vehicle stopped and did not move at all from the entrance to the Kalihurip Utama toll road for several kilometers back,” Hendri said in his report.
As a result of the total speed of vehicle traffic, many road users decide to rest while sitting on the road to wait for the traffic jam to break down.
The congestion, said Hendri, occurred from Km 100 to Km 81 to the Sadang Toll Gate heading towards Jakarta.

The congestion is the result of the impact of the implementation of the one-way policy (one way) from Cipali Toll from Km 47 Section Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on Thursday (28/4/2022) by the Korlantas Polri.
According to Hendri, the Purwakarta Police had promised to conduct traffic flow engineering to avoid congestion on the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta. The traffic flow engineering is to divert it to three toll gates, namely Jatiluhur, Sadang, and Cikopo.
However, many vehicles cannot get out of the Cipularang Toll Road towards Jakarta and are stuck in traffic jams.
According to PT Jasa Marga Public Relations Officer Irra Susiyanti, to anticipate congestion and queues at the Kalihurip Utama (Kalitama) Toll Gate (GT) 4 Cipularang Toll Road, the Police will divert traffic flow.
“After closing traffic to Jakarta at GT Kalitama 2 since 16.00 WIB, traffic was diverted to GT Kalitama 4 in the direction of Cikampek/Cirebon and then exit GT Kalihurip 1 to Dawuan and Cikampek,” said Irra in a press statement.
“Taking into account the increase in transaction volume and in order to reduce queues at GT Kalitama 4 at 20.25 WIB, traffic towards Jakarta was diverted out to GT Sadang, and vehicles already queuing at GT Kalitama 4 were turned back towards Bandung and diverted out to GT Sadang,” he said. Ira.
Meanwhile, to reduce the traffic load at the Sadang GT, road users who want to go to Jakarta have been diverted from the Cikamuning GT since 21.20 WIB, and traffic has also begun to be distributed through the South Japek II Functional Line at 22.32 WIB.
“Traffic diversion in GT Kalitama 4 and its surroundings is enforced situationally until the policy one way done,” said Ira.
