What is “CinemaLIC” in Long Island City?
Just like Movie Nights at Bryant Park and Movie with a view! at Brooklyn Bridge Park, CinemaLIC also offers outdoor film screenings.
The event takes place every summer at Hunters Point South Park. It really is a magical place to enjoy an outdoor cinema!!! Indeed, as Long Island City is located on the East River, you will be at the water’s edge and enjoy a superb view of the New York skyline, while watching your movie!
When do CinemaLIC sessions take place?
Sessions begin at sunset, around 8:30 p.m.
However, I advise you to arrive there around 7:00 p.m. in order to admire the sun setting behind the skyline. You will see, it is an extraordinary spectacle!
Can we eat on site?
Yes, of course, it is possible to eat on site! You will find a lot of food trucks 200m away.
The only thing is that alcohol is prohibited since it is not a closed enclosure but a park.
