Seven years have passed since Malayalam’s favorite actor Kalabhavan Mani parted ways. The film world remembers the unique talent who gave a handful of characters that the audience remembers. Actor Mohanlal also remembers Mani. Mohanlal has shared the picture of Kalabhavan Mani with the caption ‘Ormepookkal’.
Kalabhavan Mani and Mohanlal have acted together in many films like Narasimham, Aaram Tampuran, Chhota Mumbai, Summer in Bethlehem.
Director Vinayan, who gave Kalabhavan Mani some of his best roles, also shared his memories with the actor. Vinayan wrote in his memoirs that Mani, who came to Malayalam cinema through his own efforts, left many dreams behind. He ended the note by writing that this is called destiny and if there is another birth, let Mani be born again in this land of love.
Kalabhavan Mani, who started his career as a mime artist, has acted in around 200 films in South Indian languages. The art world has honored him with state and national awards. The actor passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2016.
