The 2nd Stuttgart Film Festival of Generations presents current German and international feature films and documentaries. Topics and questions about the future such as migration, inclusion, social cohesion and climate change are on the programme of this film festival; questions that are relevant for all age groups and that concern local residents in their individual neighbourhoods. Following the film entertainment, the film topic is discussed and explored in more detail in dialogue with the audience.
“Cinema up close – 2nd Stuttgart Film Festival of Generations” is a very special invitation to the Stuttgart neighborhoods, which aims to become a place of communal experiences and promote civic exchange even in “cinema-free” city districts and neighborhoods.
The events take place in Stuttgart’s neighborhoods, in community and family centers of mobile youth work, senior citizen facilities, meeting places, churches, etc.
Admission to the events is free. We warmly invite you all to the “cinema” in your neighborhood.
