Kenneth Branagh believes that the first film “Thor”, which he made in 2011, was essential to the development of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In an interview for «Collider», the British director explained that the fantasy world of Thor, who featured Asgard, located in the nine realms, was essential to bridging the gap between Earth-bound superheroes, such as Iron Man and Captain America, as well than the superhero universes of other worlds.
