A brooch that Taylor had given her mother came to just under 25,000 euros. Two glittering costumes worn by Monroe and her co-star Jane Russell from the film “Let Blondes Prefer Blondes” were auctioned for a total of around 100,000 euros. Monroe’s handwritten notes from Lee Strasberg’s acting classes went under the hammer for the equivalent of just under 19,000 euros.

More than 1,400 memorabilia of stars and film classics are to be auctioned in the USA by tomorrow.
