If his encounter with the world of cinema happened by chance, his passion goes back a long time. Already at 7 years old, Mira was reproducing small scenes that she saw in period films or theaters. “ As I grew older, I became interested in the careers of great film actresses by reading their biographies. Without any prior training in cinematography, Mira Loussi nevertheless manages to brilliantly embody the different roles entrusted to her. “ I’m just passionate about cinema. To date, Mira Loussi has had the opportunity to collaborate on several national productions but with international actors for certain works. Indeed, after her role in “Djoli” by director Glad Amog Lemra, Mira starred in two short films, a television series, a web series and two feature films, the latest of which is titled “New Life” by director Richi Mbebele where she shares the bill with the Franco-Congolese Olivier Kissita. “For this latest collaboration, it all started with a phone call from Richi Mbebele in 2019. He was very interested in my profile and told me that he had a role for me and that he would come back to me when he was ready. This was done at the end of 2023. We then began filming New Life with the whole team”, she confided.

She, who now dreams of selling more internationally under the Congolese emblem, has launched the call for a more vibrant Congolese film industry. “ I hope that we build a film industry capable of competing with the biggest (Hollywood, Bollywood, Nollywood…etc.) and that we have great film stars in Congo. We are not yet overwhelmed by productions, which means I have time to manage my businesses”, noted Mira Loussi.

In fact, in parallel with her career in the 7th art, her love for fashion naturally led Mira Loussi to live her passion as an entrepreneur through her brand Jolie congolaise by Mimi launched in 2018. Beyond clothing creation, Last year, Mira also launched its brand of alcoholic drink “Loussi” produced from local fruits. The artist promises nice surprises to the public, but she did not want to give more details.
