On Wednesday, all Ukrainian refugee children currently accommodated in the municipal facilities were invited to watch the Ukrainian animated film “Clara and the Magic Dragon” with their families in the Cineplex.
According to their own statements, the Münstersche Filmtheater-Betriebe invited to the film in cooperation with the Lakeside distributor. Stadtwerke Münster rounded off the offer and donated a menu of popcorn and a drink for everyone present.
Different language versions
In order to eliminate language barriers, the film was shown several times in different language versions. “It was important to us to offer something that refugees from all parts of Ukraine can accept: Russian is the main language spoken in eastern Ukraine, but more Ukrainian in the west. We are therefore very pleased that we were able to show the film in both the Ukrainian and Russian languages,” says Madita Kondratjuk from the Münstersche Filmtheater-Betriebe.
The children present visibly enjoyed the short break from their everyday life in the emergency shelters, according to the press release.
