Bochum. Cinema fans in Bochum can watch blockbusters like “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” at the weekend at an extra low price. The range of films is plentiful.
The popcorn is ready: After last year’s great success, cinemas across Germany are once again celebrating a “Cinema Festival” – and the cinemas in Bochum to do with. On Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th, admission to the UCI, Union, Capitol and Casablanca costs just five euros per ticket. The reduced admission price applies to all seats. In the UCI in the Ruhrpark, the usual surcharges for the IMAX and I-Sense halls do not apply.
Cinemas in Bochum take part in the nationwide “Cinema Festival”.
The cinema festival was tested for the first time shortly after the end of the corona pandemic last year in order to lure visitors back into the cinemas. With success: noticeably boosted by the low ticket price, more than a million visitors flocked to the cinemas nationwide.
“Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” for five euros per ticket
Now the cinema festival is about to be repeated. Still on the big screen: the phenomenon “Barbenheimer”, which has been breaking records for weeks. Anyone who has not yet managed to see “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” on the big screen will have another opportunity this weekend. The Union also shows “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Catch the killer”. For example, the Casablanca has the romantic comedy “Do you remember?” on offer.
Numerous performances are already on sale: “Since the halls are expected to be full after last year’s success, it makes sense to secure your seats early,” says the UCI.
