The Cabañas Museum has a movie theater that offers quite accessible screenings for all those who wish to get closer to the production of Mexican, independent and art cinema.
This room has been showing films since 1983, along with the opening of the Cabañas Cultural Institute. In the same way, it received the name of the Guadalajara director Guillermo del Toro and is active offering film series that correspond to the art samples exhibited in the museum.

The screening will be on Wednesday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m., admission is priced at 35 pesos per person and is classified for those over 15 years old.

This is a special function of IMCINE. The work, by director Iván Ávila Dueñas, tells the story of Denisse, a 23-year-old girl who lives in CDMX and wants to be a DJ. His life changes when he meets Laura Esquivel, a young 19-year-old shepherdess who comes from a small ranch in Zacatecas.

The synopsis revolves around Mila, a girl who, after moving with her partner to a new home, realizes that her loss of desire lies within herself. From there, he begins a journey in which he revisits experiences from his childhood and adolescence in the hope of reconciling with his own body.
The director of this 2023 Spanish feature film is Elena Martín Gimeno and it will be screened on Saturday, October 19 at 6 p.m. On this occasion, the recovery cost will be 35 pesos per person.

From director Ángeles Cruz, this Mexican film from last year tells the story of Valentina, a girl who uses a rag from the house as a cape and becomes a superhero with powers over the wind, the earth and the trees. But an unexpected event devastates her: her father dies in an accident and she must deal with his absence: recognize death and relearn the life that follows.
The film will be screened on Wednesday, October 30 at 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 1, at 7:00 p.m. Admission will cost 35 pesos per person.
The Uncle
The synopsis is set in Yugoslavia, at the end of the 1980s. A married couple and their son rush to make the final preparations for Christmas Eve dinner. Your dear uncle from Germany will park his Mercedes in front of the house at any moment and everything has to be ready. But, something strange will happen.
This film is from directors David Kapac and Andrija Mardešić from Croatia and Serbia. It will be screened on Wednesday, October 30 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, October 31 at 6 p.m.. Like the other function of the cycle, the ticket will have a price of 35 pesos.
