Cinema in Bottrop: The simple things, Thursday, Friday & Saturday
The Bottrop Film Forum will soon be completely remodeled: new logo, new reception area and new projector. Then current films can also be shown in the small, cozy hall. But first, fans of French films will get their money’s worth. This week, the comedy drama “The Simple Things” is being shown, in which the constantly stressed-out tech champion Vincent is stuck in the mountains with his convertible and the loner Pierre, who lives a secluded life in the mountains, is being shown. A film that offers a lot of fun and also seriousness. More here.
Bottrop Art Community: “DIVERSITY”, Thursday (22 August)
The Bottrop art community is once again inviting you to its traditional annual exhibition. Bottrop’s oldest art association is presenting itself for the 51st time – this time again in the municipal gallery, which can be reached via the entrance on Blumenstrasse in the August Everding cultural center. In addition to impressive and fascinating works of art, the evening also promises plenty of conversations among like-minded people. More information can be found here.
BEACHPARTY, Saturday (24 August), from 2.30 p.m.
For the first time, the Bottrop Beach Party, which takes place in the Stenkhoffbad in Eigen, is not sold out a few days in advance. But that will not stop the numerous pop fans from having a lot of fun. In addition to DJ Lars Deluxe and the Mallorca Cowboys, two top acts from the area, Ina Colada from Kirchhellen and Jörg Bausch, who has chosen to live in Bottrop, will be on the stage of the outdoor pool. Also taking part: Stefan Stürmer, Nico Gemba, Oli P., Anna-Maria Zimmermann, Mickie Krause and Isi Glück. Tickets are available for 32 euros. There is an additional advance booking fee of 2.28 euros online.
