“The grilling method is the same as grilling fish in general, using charcoal. But when cooked, the seasoning of pledoy is definitely different from other grilled fish,” Nur, the waiter at Haruman Cibiuk restaurant, said on Thursday (12/29/2022).

You can see this grilled carp seasoning being sprinkled over the fish after it is cooked. There are also spices such as red cucumber slices, green tomatoes, basil leaves, chillies, ginger, galangal and sweet soy sauce.
In fact, the chef did not divulge the recipe for all the spices, but HR was able to taste this legendary fish menu. It turns out it tastes great. There are spicy, sweet and savory flavours. Other than that, the fish tasted fresh and didn’t smell fishy, obviously.
Nur said that the price of pledoy grilled carp for 9oz to 1kg is around IDR 85,000.
“It’s cooked, so it may cost Rp. 85,000, but it can be eaten by 3 people because it’s big enough,” Nur said.
