Police arrested 3 men named Peri (24), Rosadi (30) and Juhendi (32) linked to the virus, residents stopped a car carrying aid to earthquake victims Cianjur. The author admitted guilt and apologized.
The offender’s apology was contained in a video uploaded by the Cianjur Police Instagram account on Wednesday (23/11/2022). Cianjur police also arrested the perpetrators.
“Regarding the viral ambush against social welfare volunteers during the natural earthquake disaster in Cianjur Regency, Cianjur Police arrested three perpetrators,” Cianjur Police wrote in the upload.
The author apologized for his actions. The author realized that his actions were worrying.
“Therefore, we apologize profusely to all the people of Cianjur who are restless about our actions, and we admit that these actions were wrong and they will not repeat our actions,” the perpetrator named Peri said in the videotape.
Peri said his behavior was not exemplary. For this reason, she asked other residents not to do the same.
“We ask people Cianjur people affected by the earthquake should not follow and imitate our behavior,” he said.
Viral citizens stop cars bring help
Video of a number of residents stopping a car carrying Cianjur earthquake aid in Rancagoong area, Cianjur Regency, West Java has gone viral on social media. The police also intervened.
In the video it can be seen that the driver of the car carrying the assistance chose to reverse. The hand gestures of the residents appeared to ask the vehicle to reverse.
“We’d better back up, just back up,” said the driver of the car.
Chief of Police Cianjur AKBP Doni Hermawan said his party was investigating the viral video. He said the residents in the video were also found and questioned.
“Yes, it is true that he is on site, he has been questioned,” Doni said when contacted on Wednesday (11/23).
