CIA warns officer for pro-Palestinian post on social media

New York: The CIA warned the officer after he posted in favor of Palestine on Facebook. After sharing the post, the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) warned the officer to refrain from expressing political views on social media.

The Financial Times reported that the associate deputy director of the intelligence agency had his Facebook cover photo changed to a photo of a man waving a Palestinian flag after Israel started war in Palestine.

International media reported that the CIA had sent a memo to the agency’s associate deputy director outlining the agency’s policy against spreading political messages through social media.

In addition to the cover photo on Facebook, he also posted a picture on social media with the words ‘Free Palestine’, NBC News reported. But the report also pointed out that when the media started approaching the deputy director regarding the post, he deleted the post.
