Church services only online – Grenzach-Wyhlen

Pastors can be reached by phone on public holidays.

(BZ). Due to the constantly increasing number of infections, the Evangelical Church District Markgräflerland has decided to follow the requirements of the Evangelical Higher Church Council and to refrain from attendance at church services until the end of the lockdown on January 10th.

Pastor Judith Kern and Pastor Daniel Burk announce that the evangelical parishes in Grenzach-Wyhlen show solidarity with all people in the district and want to make a contribution to protecting against infection by renouncing attendance services. Christmas will therefore not be canceled, but will take place in new ways: A family church service on Christmas Eve will take place via Zoom & YouTube at 4 p.m. The Christmas vespers on Christmas Eve from Wyhlen can be experienced at 6 p.m. via YouTube. A Christmas mass is also planned on Christmas Eve via Zoom & YouTube, it can be seen at 10.30 p.m. The service on Christmas Day from Grenzach will take place via YouTube at 10 a.m. The year-end service on December 31 via Zoom & YouTube at 5 p.m.

In addition, there are home church services to take away at the Protestant churches in Grenzach and Wyhlen. And: From December 23, there will also be street crayons on display there, with which strollers can write their good news for Christmas on streets and sidewalks. If you have an Instagram or Twitter account, you can capture your message in a picture and share it using the hashtag # Christmas2020 and #StayHome. If you feel lonely over the holidays, you can also call the pastors in the church district from December 24th to 26th. You can find times and telephone numbers at: https://www.ekima.info
