Pushed to the limit because of the mandatory overtime that has been going on for several months, nurses from the CHUL decided not to go back to work on Sunday morning in Quebec.
According to information obtained by the Journal, there would be a “sit-in” on the neonatal unit department of the mother-child center to challenge the deterioration of their working conditions.
“We overload the nurses in addition to forcing them to stay from 12pm to 4pm at work every day. The situation is now dangerous for customers! ”, Confided to the Journal one of them who wishes to remain anonymous.
“This is the reason why we are mobilizing. We are not claimants at heart, but we are worried, ”she added.
