The US car brand Chrysler announced on Wednesday that it plans to become a manufacturer of all-electric cars by 2028.
Chrysler, part of the automotive company Stellantis, announced this goal at the CES 2022 exhibition of technology and innovation, where the brand also unveiled a fully electric concept car.
The company plans to launch its first fully electric car by 2025.
Although the announcement released on Wednesday only applies to Chrysler, the parent company Stellantis has previously announced that it plans to invest 30 billion euros in electrification and software development by 2025.
Stellantis was formed in January 2021 following the merger of Italian and US automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and French Groupe PSA.
