Chronology of Haruki Noguchi’s Death at Mandalika Circuit in Jakarta

Haruki Noguchi passed away a few days after having a horror accident at the Mandalika Circuit. After being in intensive care, the Japanese rider was finally helpless. The following is a chronology of Haruki Noguchi’s death.

The official Asia Road Racing Instagram account immediately announced the death of Haruki Noguchi. The two news was conveyed by them on Thursday (17/8) morning today. While Noguchi is said to have breathed his last on Wednesday (16/8) afternoon WITA.

Noguchi died after undergoing three days of treatment at the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial General Hospital.

Chronology of Noguchi’s Death

Haruki Noguchi raced at the Mandalika Circuit to compete in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). He participated in the Asia Superbike (ASB) 1000 class, the race was held on Sunday (13/8).

As quoted from Asia Road Racing’s statement, the driver who strengthened the SDG MS Harc-Pro team had an incident at turn 10 on the fourth lap. He was involved in being hit by a racer from Malaysia, Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin.

At first, Noguchi and fellow Malaysian racer Zaqhwan Zaidi were battling for position. The duel made both of them go wide at turn 10 and then fell.

Unfortunately it couldn’t be denied, behind Noguchi came racer Kasma Daniel who also went wide at the same corner. It was reported that Noguchi’s head was crushed by Kasma Daniel’s motorbike.

As a result of the horror incident, the race was stopped. At that time the race still had seven rounds remaining.

Noguchi was immediately rushed to the Mandalika Circuit medical center. While Kasma Daniel and Zaqhwan Zaidi are reported to be in good condition and can walk immediately.

News emerged that Noguchi’s condition was stable, and then he was transferred to the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial General Hospital for more intensive treatment.

On Monday (14/8), the main director of NTB Hospital, Lalu Herman Mahaputra, alias Doctor Jack, explained Noguchi’s condition. He said, Haruki Nugochi was traumatized by a collision at the Mandalika Circuit.

“While (the victim) is still being treated, it is clear that there is a lot of trauma/multiple trauma (which the victim experienced),” he said, Monday (14/8/2023), quoted from detikBali.

After three days of intensive care, Noguchi was beyond help. He died on Wednesday (16/8) afternoon WITA.

“It is with great sadness that we report the death of Haruki Noguchi after undergoing intensive care for three days at the West Nusa Tenggara Regional General Hospital,” said Asia Road Racing’s official statement.

“Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Haruki died of his injuries on August 16, 2023 at 17.40 WITA,” FIM wrote.

Haruki Noguchi is said to be one of the most talented young racers in Japan. Only 22 years old, he has already won the Superstock 600 category at the All Japan Road Racing Championships.

Last year he finished second in the ARRC 1000cc Superbike final standings. Meanwhile this year he has stood on the podium at the Suzuka 8 Hour with SDG Racing.
