Chronic Renal Failure Patients and Health Personnel Immunized Against Influenza at HSJC Hemodialysis Rooms A and B

Patients with chronic renal failure, family members, and health personnel from Hemodialysis Rooms A and B of the Dra. Susana Jones Cano Hospital (HSJC), were immunized against influenza during a vaccination day that took place on May 31 and May 1. of June.

The Lcda. Marichely Figueroa, a nurse from the HSJC Expanded Immunization Program, reported that the vaccination day, which was already scheduled in advance, is timely due to the increase in cases that has been registered in the last two weeks.

He stressed that the quadrivalent influenza vaccine is being administered, which protects against four strains, including A H1N1 and A H3N2, which are the ones that are circulating the most in the country.
