Christophe Hanna Explores Celebrity and Social Capital in Non-Traditional Fiction

Christophe Hanna does not create traditional fiction; instead he finds creative ways to deal with topics such as money, avoiding conventional representations. His ideas often come opportunity meetings.

For example, for his work Glory, inspiration came to him in Lyon. While he goes to look for a piece of furniture from a second-hand seller found on the Internet, he learns that the latter is above all a professional poker player. This activity gives him the opportunity to mix with famous people and open doors to a new world.

This publication gave Hanna the idea to explore the concept of celebrity through the unexpected connections and networks between individuals and people like Patrick Bruel, Didier Raoult, Sophie Marceau, François Fillon, and BHL. Instead of simple pictures, Hanna builds a series of connections that reveal how we define ourselves and see others through our interactions and conversation. He uses this network to create a sociology, a network of relationships, love and dissatisfaction that reflects social capital.
