Now that the pandemic has made their singing career more than a year on hold Christoff and his sister Lindsay are planning to start a second life in construction. “We want to be less dependent on our current career.”

Just like for many artists, the corona crisis has also seriously affected Christoff (44) and his sister Lindsay (42 years old). Concerts and performances that were cancelled, musical projects that were delayed. In addition, Christoff, Lindsay and part of their family also became infected with Covid-19. In addition, they suffered a significant financial loss due to the lockdowns. That has made them think about the future, Christoff says in an interview on Ment TV on Sunday evening.
“That corona time made me realize that success is very transient,” said Christoff. “Of course I’ve known that all my life, which is why I worked hard for it. But if they just press pause above or at the government, then it just stops. Just in case what we’re going through happens again – let’s hope not – we want to be less dependent on our current career. That is why my sister and I decided to do something besides our singing career.”
The singer, who is popular in Germany and the Netherlands, explained what they will do next. “We were born with a brick in our stomach. We come from a family of contractors, so we’re going to set up a small project. Building and renovating. It will also help to clear our minds.”

What it will be exactly is not yet certain, we hear from Lindsay’s corner. In concrete terms, the project still has to be completed, but building and selling affordable housing that is in great need would only become a side job. It is clear to Christoff: “I have always learned to take the positive out of negative periods, everything happens for a reason.”
It is not surprising that Christoff and Lindsay set up something together. Brother and sister have had a good relationship for years and they have already seen in their family that working together pays off. After all, he ran Dad De Bolle’s contracting company together with his brother and father-in-law, while their mother also helped in the business.
