Concerts, with the participation of mostly Bulgarian pop stars. Christmas-themed films, including the obligatory “Home Alone” at the time of year and Christmas carols by Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte and Pope Francis, are available on television around the Christmas holidays.
Viewers who want to experience the holiday in its purest church form can bet on the Bulgarian National Television, which will broadcast from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral a festive service for Christmas Eve (December 24, 17.55), the address of the Patriarch Neophyte on the occasion of the Nativity of Christ (December 24, 8.30 pm) and the festive service for the Nativity of Christ (December 25, 9.30 am).
On December 25, public television will also broadcast Pope Francis’ Christmas message and blessing “Urbe et Orbi” (12:55 p.m.). On the same day BNT also offers a Christmas concert of the Guards Brass Band (19.00) and Christmas stars with the participation of Orlin Goranov, Veselin Marinov, Vasil Naidenov, duet “Riton” and other stars of the Bulgarian stage.
On December 26 at 1 pm is the beginning of the traditional Christmas matinee concert, in which pop stars partner with the orchestra, people and ballet of the Stara Zagora Opera. “Gwen Stefani in Christmas mood” ends the festive program for Sunday on BNT.
What is Christmas without “Home Alone”
Christmas will not come if “Home Alone” is not broadcast, even if there is something true in this popular joke, there is no reason to worry. BTV will broadcast one of the most popular and entertaining Christmas movies on 25, 26 and December 27 at 12:35 p.m.
