Accompanied by Paolo Belli, his orchestra and many guests from the world of entertainment, sport and music who wanted to participate with enthusiasm to contribute to the noble cause.
Mara Venier, the moving memory of Fabrizio Frizzi
If there is a face that can be associated with Telethon charity marathons is that of Fabrizio Frizzi, a great man who has always been committed to organizing evenings aimed at raising funds for research. In the name of solidarity, the presenter, who passed away in March 2018, has spent a lot with great generosity. There was, therefore, no other way to open this evening than with his memory.
Thus Mara Venier went back in time with her memory and told of when, five years ago, Frizzi he strongly wanted her by his side for Telethon’s Christmas evening even though she no longer worked for Rai. And Aunt Mara did it with her voice broken by emotion:
I want to remember one thing. Five years ago, on 11 December 2016, I had not yet returned to Rai, but a friend of mine, a colleague of mine, wanted me close to him. I’m talking about Fabrizio Frizzi. We cannot fail to remember Fabrizio, because Fabrizio is Telethon and will always be.
To remember him with her Nicolò, a child who in 2016 took part in the evening with them and who, with shining eyes, showed still very strong regret for the disappearance of Frizzi. To console him there Venier, with words that everyone can share: “Fabrizio is here, in our hearts and in that of all Italians. And it will always be “.

A race for solidarity, to which, together with Mara who tirelessly agreed to lead a very long episode of Sunday In, also took part many stars from the world of entertainment, music and sport who have decided to participate to surprise all children, young people and their families who, thanks to research, have been able to improve their lives. Indeed, Juventus players Federico Chiesa and Leonardo Bonucci, Fabio Rovazzi, have accepted Venier’s invitation. Alessandro Del Piero, the actor Salvatore Esposito, Stefano De Martino, the Guidonia twins, Milly Carlucci and many others.
Among them too Federica Pellegrini, which usually appears in front of the cameras always extremely concentrated and all in one piece. This time, for Telethon, it has instead showed her softer side, and connected to the studio to surprise Sonia, a nineteen year old who has been fighting spinal muscular atrophy since she was a child and who has a great passion: swimming.
Pellegrini, with her mere presence and her big, tender smile, gave Sonia a great emotion. A beautiful gesture, which Federica strongly wanted to do. Because of this thanked the hostess who granted you this opportunity:

The evening continued, like this, among guests, great emotions and even lots of laughter: happiness for little things is the red thread among all the extraordinary stories that, thanks to the professional mediation of Mara Venier, were told to highlight the importance of research and to raise funds which, for many, represent hope.
