We all have “a song in the brain”. It goes on and on – you can’t get rid of it. Some songs have that quality. They get stuck in a loop. In international music psychology, this is a well-known phenomenon. “Ohrwurm” in Germany, “earworm” in England and we say “earworm”. The Beatles song “Ob-La Di, Ob-La-Da” is usually cited as an example of a common “earworm”.
