Christmas markets 2020 despite Corona: in which cities they take place – and where not


Many Christmas markets have already been canceled in 2020 – but some organizers are still hoping.

Many Christmas markets in 2020 have already been canceled due to the corona pandemic. We’ll show you which ones they are – and which ones take place according to current planning.

Due to the corona pandemic, numerous events with a long tradition have already been canceled this year – just think of the prominent example of the Oktoberfest. But numerous Christmas markets are also on the brink this year or have already been canceled. We give you an overview.

Christmas markets 2020 despite Corona: is there a ban?

Currently exists no ban on the part of the federal government, was Christmas markets concerns. The federal states and cities are currently deciding for themselves whether the local level of infection allows such events. If the incidence value is high, however, a cancellation is inevitable.
