On the occasion of the Christmas celebrations, which are meant to be a festive event, a beneficial window into the gray of winter, the City of Nice and its Social Action Municipal Center are organizing a Christmas lunch for people with precariousness, in collaboration with the Forum Jorge François, the Salvation Army, the Leo Club and OGC Nice.
200 guests will thus be able to enjoy a festive menu prepared by Philippe Boucher, chef of the Forum Jorge François:
. Grated crab with supreme sauce;
. Gourmet chicken with forest mushrooms;
. Christmas log.
The evening will be enlivened by the Tziganes de Cannes violin ensemble directed by Jean-Jacques Calvi and punctuated by the long-awaited distribution of gifts: the Leo Club, with its Santa Claus, will offer gifts to children and the Salvation Army will offer gifts for adults.
In total, about fifty volunteers from the services of the CCAS, the Salvation Army, the Léo Club and the OGC Nice will be mobilized for the organization of this beautiful event, showing a real desire to bring comfort and warmth to these people who , very often, they have no family or loved ones to spend their holidays with.
The emblematic captain of Gym Dante, sponsor of the Gym Solidaire program and 6 young people from the OGC Nice training center will also take part in the canteen service. They will also play Santa Claus by offering 200 hats and will also be giving away tickets to attend the Nice-Lens match on Thursday 29 December at 9pm.
