In addition to a colorful mix of partly self-produced films and series for the festival, the VoD providers also announce a large number of popular classics in the run-up to Christmas, which for many are part of the festival program every year.
Of course, this includes the quintessential classic, ‘Home Alone’ with Macaulay Culkin, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. ‘Three nuts for Cinderella’, the fairy tale film and long-running hit in regular television programming, should not be missing, nor should Jim Carrey as ‘The Grinch’, who wants to steal Christmas.
The Christmas comedy ‘Love Actually’ with an all-star cast including Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Bill Nighy and Heike Makatsch is one of them, as is the romantic comedy ‘Love I don’t need a vacation” with Jude Starring Law, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black. Also on offer are The Ghosts I Called, starring Bill Murray, and Chevy Chase’s Happy Birthday, starring the Griswold family.
