We want to love because he loved us first. (1 John 4:19)
God meets us. As a child, he comes into this world to show us his love for him and to touch our hearts. At Christmas we remember this great gift that was given to us with the birth of Christ.
We are sent to bring this divine love into the world and to proclaim it. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the Archdiocese of Cologne and beyond for their Christian witness in this regard. This is especially valuable in these times.
My wish for all people is that this Christmas you may experience a touch of this love of God and, above all, the peace He promises.
