The Blood Bank activated the “Christmas Donation” this Monday, which means that in the next two weeks people will be able to donate this precious liquid in different shopping centers in the country.
The urgency is because during the end and beginning of the year reserves dwindle due to a shortage of donations and increased demand.
The requirements to donate are simple: weigh more than 52 kilos, be between 18 and 65 years old, do not suffer from any infectious disease, have no flu symptoms in the last month or have used antibiotics 15 days before.
If you have tattoos, piercings, or micropigmented makeup, it must be over six months old.
If you have had COVID-19, you can donate 15 days after all symptoms have passed. Regarding vaccination, keep in mind that:
– You can donate seven days after applying any dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.
-You can donate 30 days after applying any dose of the COVID-19 vaccine outside the country.
-You can donate 15 days after applying the seasonal flu vaccine.
