Toppers in Concert Christmas Party of the Year was to be organized in Rotterdam Ahoy on 22, 23, 24 and 26 December.
“Toppers in Concert is a show concept with immense sets, dancers, guest artists, a large live band and effects. This precious total experience cannot be organized with restrictive production measures,” the organization writes.

Changing circumstances
“The continuously changing circumstances in combination with many production challenges and increasingly tighter preparation times are now forcing us, after a lot of deliberation, to cancel the Christmas shows definitively”, the organization reports.
Earlier this year singer Jeroen van der Boom had promised that the shows would continue. “Sure,” he said. René Froger called it a ‘difficult situation’ earlier this month and said: can’t say for sure whether the concerts would go ahead.
Purchase amount refunded
Everyone with a ticket will receive a refund of the purchase amount. The next concerts of the Toppers are next May in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Within a month there will be more clarity about the theme of those concerts. Ticket sales have not started yet.

De Toppers is a music formation of René Froger, Gerard Joling, Jeroen van der Boom and Jan Smit. Gordon was also part of the group until 2011.
