The instrumentalist and vocalist of the Fleetwood Mac band, who died on November 30 last year, left her heirs a fortune of £ 70 million, or about PLN 358.5 million. It is also known that Christine’s 84-year-old brother John Perfect (a retired biology teacher) and younger descendants of the family will inherit most of this wealth.

Born in the English village of Greenodd, Lancashire, Christine McVie began her career as a pianist and singer in the blues band Chicken Shack. She joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970 (three years after the band’s formation). She was the author of the group’s biggest hits, including: “Over My Head”, “Say You Love Me”, “Don’t Stop”, “You Make Loving Fun”, “Little Lies”, “Everywhere”.
In 1998, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac. She also received a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. It was then that she left the band and focused on recording solo albums.

At the height of her career, she lived in Los Angeles. In the 1990s, however, she returned to England and settled in a historic estate in Seaton, near Canterbury (Kent). In 2015, when she returned to touring with Fleetwood Mac, she sold it for £3.5 million to a couple who started a glamping business there (Camp Quaives). She then moved to London.
On the day of her death, her family announced that the famous artist died at the age of 79, after a short illness and a stay in hospital. Five days later, it was revealed that the cause of death was an ischemic stroke. The artist also suffered from cancer of unknown primary origin, which metastasized throughout her body.
Christine McVie’s inheritance from Fleetwood Mac has been revealed
According to inheritance documents now revealed by British websites (including KentOnline), McVie did not make a will, so the High Court had to appoint attorneys to administer the estate. They are the artist’s former manager Martin Wyatt and businessman Paul Glass (they are also to take care of the musical legacy of the deceased).
It is also known that most of this wealth, estimated at 70 million pounds, is inherited by Christine’s 84-year-old brother John Perfect (a retired biology teacher) and younger descendants of the family (the artist had no children of her own). Charities will also receive some. Although the full list of beneficiaries has not been disclosed, one of them may be the MusiCares foundation, founded in 1989, which provides social services to musicians in financial crisis. A month after Christine McVie’s death, an auction of her clothes and instruments was held, the proceeds of which went to this organization.
