This mission is even more special because for the first time, NASA has appointed women as part of the crew of astronauts who are ready to circle the Earth’s satellite.

Christina Hammock Koch Is a World Record Holder

Nasa has Christina Hammock for a reason. In fact Christina is the world record holder for the longest spaceflight by a woman.

Of course, Christina Hammock Koch has a lot of experience in this field of astronomy. He has been selected as a NASA astronaut since 2013.

Before joining NASA, Christina worked as an aircraft engineer at the International Space Station. He was responsible for expeditions 59, 60 and 61.

Christina Hammock has set a record for being the first woman to fly into space personally with a duration of 328 days.

Furthermore, Christina admitted that she was very surprised when she heard the news that she was selected to be the only female astronaut for the Artemis II mission.

He added that he is ready to make everyone proud. Christina also believes that this mission can be completed and will bring extraordinary meaning to humanity in the future.

About Mission Artemis II

Christina Hammock will join the Artemis II mission team. This is a 10 day flyby mission.

Artemis II will be NASA’s final test flight before landing two astronauts on the moon around 2025.

Artemis itself is a group of five space missions with the help of robots and machines that support human existence on the moon.
