Anders Christiansen has missed MFF’s last two matches against Sirius and Chelsea after an injury against AIK ten days ago. The midfielder did his first training session with the team yesterday, and is available when the league leader meets the table song IFK Gothenburg on away away tomorrow.
– He is ready, he also starts, says coach Jon Dahl Tomasson.
He has the chance to form all-Swedish star names in midfield, as Oscar Lewicki and Sergio Peña for some time now also recovered from his injuries.
– This is the first time I actually have the opportunity to start with them, not because it means that I will do it. We have done quite well – we are number one in the league and play in the Champions League – with the other players. The opportunity exists, but I also have other choices, says Dahl Tomasson.
The injured trio Felix Beijmo, Jonas Knudsen and Ola Toivonen miss the match. Anel Ahmedhodzic and Antonio Colak are suspended, leaving a gap in the attacking position in the latter’s case.
– I have many options. Malik (Abubakari) has played there a lot, Adi (Nalic) has played there as well. Away against Häcken, I played Ola and “AC” – I have little to choose from, says Jon Dahl Tomasson about the attacking issue.
