Christiane Endler’s Olympique Lyon will be visiting Levante in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the women’s soccer Champions League, according to the draw held this Sunday by UEFA.
The goalkeeper of the Chilean national team played in the semifinals in 2021 when she played for PSG.
In another outstanding match, Real Madrid will host Manchester City. City was the rival that the draw brought, in principle, to Arsenal, but the regulations prevented two teams from the same country from being paired in this round, so it was necessary to resort to another ball for the London team, who will play the first leg at home against Slavia Prague.
The draw yielded the pairings of the 24 teams that aspire to get the last 12 places for the group stage together with the champions, Barcelona, Paris SG, Bayern Munich and Chelsea, who are already classified directly.
The first leg matches, in the fields of the teams mentioned in the first place, will be played on August 31 and September 1, and those back on September 8 and 9. The draw for the composition of the groups will be held on September 13.
These are the pairings for the second preliminary round:
